Mission and History

We strive to solve problems quickly, affordably, and transparently.

bivio Software, Inc. was founded in October 1998 as a software consulting group. We acquired our first contract by November and have been delivering affordable solutions ever since.

In January 1999 bivio's employees, friends, and family formed an investment club. Our club had members in ten cities. There were no solutions to our club's distributed management problem. We created a simple web-based application to help manage our club in March 1999. It was an immediate success.

It was clear we had a great idea. We raised capital in July and launched our club accounting service in November. Our investment club service rapidly gained acceptance and currently services over 8,000 investment clubs with 50,000 members.

Every successful product is built on a solid infrastructure. In June 2001, we released our web-delivered application substrate as open source. This enables our clients and the web community at-large to gain access to bivio fundamentals free of charge. Even if you are using another web-delivered application platform, you will want to take a critical look at the bivio OLTP Platform (bOP).

Our list of projects has grown significantly over the years. Our technology strategists and innovators are in high demand. We thank our customers for providing us with challenging projects across a wide spectrum of problem domains.
